When it rains, it pours...
And of course by "rains" I mean "turns February." And by "pours" I mean "gets fucking cold." Yes, unfortunatly, the unseasonably warm January here in Chicago did little to prepare the students of Northwestern for the ensuing, unavoidable cold.
And I think my usual NU hoodie got stolen at one of the parties at the house. Damn it.
Still, as I have been known to explain, the colder the winter, the more rewarding spring will be. And I do feel that I stand adamantly by this theory, even though I may bitch and moan in a few months when it won't stop raining. Because it won't be long before it will be warm enough to spend a day at the beach, and not too far after that, it will be too hot to turn the fans off. At the very least, weather could try to be somewhat consistent. I'll just have to wait till Canada.
So I've noticed over the past couple of weeks (and a little to my surprise) that I've become quite the cliché film major. I'm suddenly skipping previous engagements because I've got an NSTV meeting, or I have to boom a classmate's project, or even that I need to set aside time to edit my own movie(which rocks, hard, by the way). I'm getting to know the people in the program, faculty, and others who work in The Cage. I'm sure this will all one day work toward my benefit, which is why I've chosen not to worry myself over the matter.
Final thought: Rip the tags off matresses, you'll buy more anyway.
